Tonight, we honored Bro. Allison, a Mason from Chicago who was given his 50-year certificate by the District Deputy Grand Master. We were also visited by the District Grand Lecturer. Several awards were given and an educational program was presented.

Next meeting: July 27, 2010: Regular business meeting.

Last Meeting: Special Communication: The Fellowcraft Degree was conferred on three candidates.

Next Meeting: July 13, 2010: We will go to refreshment at the beginning of the meeting and present the 50 year membership certificate to a Brother from Chicago who now lives here.

Last meeting, June 22, 2010: The 1st Degree was conferred on a new brother, and the degree team did a near-perfect job. We accepted a Brother for Plural Membership and elected two men to receive the Degrees.

Next meeting, July 13, 2010: The Lodge may have to go dark because of repair issues. See the blog for details.

Last meeting: June 8, 2010: Past Masters' Night was a very satisfying meeting. We gave several certificates out to deserving brethren for various accomplishments. We had guests from four Lodges and an excellent meal.

Next meeting: June 22, 2010: Entered Apprentice Degree. Please come out and support our continuing growth. If you are not yet a Master Mason, come see your Brethren!

Special communication: June 29, 2010: Conferral of the Fellowcraft Degree on 3 brethren. Once again, please come support the Lodge as we take on new members. They will need teachers!

Recap:
June 5, 2010, we cut down trees around the Lodge in preparation for a driveway and to keep pedestrian "evidence" at a minimum. We also partially demolished the Library and Museum in preparation for renovation. I was pleased with the help we received from brethren, but more needs to be done. More to come.
June 7, 2010, three brethren helped confer a degree for Jacques De Molay Lodge.

Between meetings: The Master will be out of town from Saturday, June 12, until Tuesday, June 22. He will, however, be present for the next Stated Communication.

Last meeting, May 26 2010: It was a great meeting! We conferred the EA degree on a new brother. We also had an esteemed visitor from the Grand Lodge of Quebec and presented him with a gift.

Next meeting, June 8, 2010: Past Masters' and 25 and 50 year members' night. If you know a Past Master, please invite him. It will be an open meeting, so invite your wife or girlfriend and any man who is curious about Masonry.

In between meetings:
May 28, 2010: We will have a fundraiser jambalaya dinner sale at the Covington Block Party. Come out and support the Lodge while having a good time with your Brethren!

May 29, 2010: A.U. Peterson Lodge is conferring the MM degree at 7:00am.

June 5, 2010: We will have a workday at the Lodge to take the first few steps in renovation.

Last meeting: Ladies' Appreciation Night

Tonight was another proud night for Masonry. We had plenty of wives and mothers to enjoy our fine meal with us. The meal was a collaboration between several members. All the ladies were first in line and our members made sure they wanted for nothing. Each lady was provided with a rose and a card. There was plenty of conversation and I hope that some lasting friendships were formed between the ladies.

Next meeting: May 25, 2010: EA degree. Come assist the degree team with yet another degree. I am very excited for the growth we have experienced and continue to experience.

Today was the Lodge Picnic. It was the best day of Masonry that Covington has had this year.

We had an excellent dinner of smoked chicken, baked beans, salad, and jambalaya. To top it off, we had about fifteen desserts supplied by the brethren's families.

We met at the home of Bro. Rester and had a great time. There was a horseshoe tournament, swimming and a trampoline for the kids, and plenty of fellowship to go around. I had the pleasure of meeting many families for the first time. We hope to have many more days like this in the future. We're already planning... watch for details.

Next meeting: April 13, 2010: Look forward to a talk from our Education Committee. We have been working to grow as Masons, and this Tuesday will be a great leap forward. We look forward to seeing you all!
